Our lovely yoga family,
We have a little announcement:
We will be having a raffle giveaway during our last Chakra series class on Tuesday, November 25th. The prize is a class pass at Exhale Spa! The card also gives you spa access and a discount on merchandise. Never heard of Exhale? Click the logo below– classes include yoga, yoga barre, core fusion, etc.
If you have ever been interested in isometrics & enjoy a good sweat, we definitely recommend! This pass is good at any of the Exhale locations– Venice, Hollywood, & Santa Monica.
*How should you enter? Just show up to class on November 25th at 12pm. With any donation, you will receive a raffle ticket. At the end of class, we will do a drawing and voila!
It is a bitter sweet feeling to be coming to the last two weeks of class for our Chakra series!! It has been so fun and we are so grateful to all of you who have come to support Birds of Paradise. For those of you who have not been able to make it out, we will be holding a brand new series in December. It won’t be Chakra-based, but we can assure you, it will be wonderful 🙂
❤ Kimmy & Janet
Like every class, last Tuesday, November 4th, radiated a gorgeous light. We are so grateful to be able to consistently share our practice with such an amazing community of yogi’s and yogini’s. Thank you. Thank you for shining and always opening up and helping us learn more about each one of you. Check out the photo below from our Heart Chakra week 🙂
This week, on November 11th, we honored our 5th Chakra, the throat. Although we did not plan to honor our throat on Veteran’s Day, it seemed to fit quite nicely. What better way to show gratitude to our Veteran’s than to be more vocal? To realign and restore balance to what gives us a say? To positively affirm our beliefs? Our opinions? A way to creatively express ourselves and say ‘thank you?’
Thank you everyone– for another incredible class. It feels so amazing to see some familiar faces, and even new ones!
Missed our class this week? It’s not a problem. Join us next Tuesday 12pm at The Yogi Tree Center for Growth: 4475 Vineland Ave, North Hollywood, CA 91602
*Next week, we will be working on our 6th Chakra, the Third Eye. I (Kimmy) will be in Colorado Springs for the week, so the lovely Janet will be holding class on her own. I will be sending you all my love and support from afar!
Have an incredible remainder of your day. Express and exude love through positive affirmations– like the one below 🙂
“My thoughts are positive, and I always express myself truthfully and clearly.”

Do you ever get the feeling that we are too focused on the way our life should be rather than simply accepting it the way it is? Think about it. If we can just be content with our journey rather than fast forward or predict the destination, think of how much weight and stress would be lifted off our shoulders. Why not be more open and have less expectations? Live a little 🙂

Hello and welcome to our very first blog post! We are still in the making and will be launching Birds of Paradise within the next two weeks. We are just getting our location secured and then we are off to spread the word!
A little jist– we will be meeting for an outdoor yoga practice twice a week. The first seven weeks will be devoted to opening and realigning our chakras.
Birds of Paradise Yoga is a program that is dedicated to yogi’s of all ages and levels. It is where we practice unconditional love– where there is absolutely no judgement and no requirements, other than being yourself and soaring freely.
Stay tuned– Much love and gratitude.
